El nombre del grupo no tiene un origen confirmado, aunque una vez Romeo dijo que se llaman así porque algunas personas le dicen 'números' a las canciones o interpretaciones musicales... The Magic Numbers han abierto conciertos para Travis, Ed Harcourt, Doves, Athlete, U2, Brian Wilson, Bright Eyes, Franz Ferdinand, The Flaming Lips y Sonic Youth...

Este año lanzaran su segundo y esperado disco Those The Brokes... la fecha de estreno es noviembre 6; en parte fue grabado en los estudios Allaire de Nueva York durante la primavera pasada... Algunas canciones nuevas ya las han tocado en directo recientemente, destacan You Never Had It, Boy, Take A Chance, Slow Down, This Is A Song y Let Somebody In.
