The Wombats es un trio de Liverpool, Inglaterra. La banda esta compuesta por dos muchachos de Liverpool; el vocalista, guitarrista y teclista Matthew Murphy, y el baterista Dan Haggis, mientras que el bajo lo toca Tord Overland-Knudsen, un noruego que se ha adaptado a la ciudad donde se unieron.

Con bastantes seguidores y éxito en Liverpool, The Wombats recientemente han atrapado la atención del público de lugares más exóticos — desde China hasta Canadá, pasando por el centro de operaciones de Galaxy fm en Los Mochis, Sinaloa México. En este momento planean viajes y tocadas a Francia y Malawi.
