En Galaxy fm programamos varios covers durante nuestros días de transmisión... pero tenemos un grupo favorito para ese trabajo: Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, formados en 1995, son una banda de punk rock. Se unieron por amor común a la música de los 60 y 70, los Gimme Gimmes trabajan exclusivamente haciendo versiones de canciones clásicas y populares. Han hecho covers de artistas como Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, y John Denver.

El grupo está compuesto por varios músicos reconocidos de la escena new-school punk rock: Spike Slawson de los $wingin' Utter$, "Fat" Mike Burkett de NOFX, Chris Shiflett de los Foo Fighters (y antes en No Use For A Name), y Joey Cape y Dave Raun de Lagwagon.

Esta noche continúa el sonido Friday Night en Galaxy 94.3 fm Los Mochis radio, desde las 8:15 de la noche... no puedes perderte semejante programación con la mejor música de la galaxia...

Love Their Country es el quinto disco de estudio y el sexto en total de los Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Saldrá a la venta el 17 de octubre próximo.
