The Apples in Stereo es una banda americana independiente, asociada con el Colectivo Elephant Six, un grupo de bandas que también incluye a Neutral Milk Hotel, Of Montréal y a The Olivia Tremor Control. Las manzanas estereofónicas son un producto de su vocalista y guitarrista Robert Schneider, quien escribe la mayoría de la música y letra del grupo. En este momento The Apples in Stereo está formado también por John Hill (guitarra rítmica) y Eric Allen (bajo), Bill Doss (teclado) y John Dufilho (batería). Son reconocidos por su sonido brillante, sus letras pegajosas, y su sonido pop sesentero que regularmente evoca comparaciones con The Beatles, The Velvet Underground, The Beach Boys, y especialmente con Electric Light Orchestra...
