Like a scream inside a scream

En julio de 2009 hubo un acercamiento casual entre Friendly Fires de St Albans, Hertfordshire, y Holy Ghost! de Nueva York. Al comienzo de 2010 unieron su fuerza creativa y sus sonidos indie bailables en un EP en el que muestran la admiración que existe entre ellos. Friendly Fires toma Hold On, de los Holy Ghost! — clásico de la editora DFA, y entregan un trabajo final muy suave; los británicos le cambiaron el sentimiento a la pieza modelo al agregarle un beat repetitivo, una línea de bajo punzante y capa sobre capa de percusiones: la marca de la casa. Solamente quedó la base del sintetizador original. Este trabajo pone a Holy Ghost! en el mapa — los americanos optaron por trabajar con On Board (del Friendly Fires, 2008) y darle un giro disco muy diferente al primero.
